Red Bank Register - 27 Feb. 1907, Page 9 Corlies G. Bennett, one of the oldest residents of Eatontown, died last Friday night of pneumonia. About a week before his death Mr. Bennett attended a funeral at Long Branch and caught cold. At the time of his death he owned both of these farms, having bought the place where he died shortly after his father's death. He had always been engaged in farming and despite his advanced years he did most of the work on his farm until his last sickness. He married June B. Wolcott, daughter of the late Benjamin Wolcott of Eatontown, She died nearly three years ago at the age of 78 years. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Eatontown township commissioners of appeals for a great many years. He was respected by all who knew him for his square business dealings. He leaves two children, Bloomfleld Bennett and Miss Phoebe Bennett, both of whom live at home, and a sister, Mrs, Harry E. Gill of Red Bank. The funeral was held at the house on Monday afternoon, Mr. Bennett attended the Quaker meeting house at Shrewsbury and the body was buried in the meeting house graveyard.
