Peter and Lucy (Carson?) CLINE of Upper Freehold 1870
Posted by: Dawn Bingaman (ID *****4417) Date: February 07, 2009 at 12:19:15
  of 1258

Seeking further information on Peter CLINE and apparent wife Lucy CLINE, residents of Upper Freehold, Monmouth Co., New Jersey at the time of the 1870 census.

Peter CLINE, age 51, carpenter b NJ
Lucy A. CLINE, age 41, b NJ
Prine CASNER, age 9, b NJ
Adaline CASNER, age 6, b NJ

I believe that Lucy CLINE may have been Lucy Ann CARSON, and that the two children were Perrine and Adaline CARSON, children of her brother Perrine CARSON, who d. 1866 as a result of injuries received during his Civil War service with the 21st NJ regiment.

Cannot locate Peter CLINE in the 1860 census for NJ, but he may be the same as Peter CLINE enumerated 1850 in East Windsor Twp., Mercer Co., NJ with apparent wife Mary.

Lucy CLINE may be the same as Lucy A. KLINE, enumerated in Upper Freehold in 1880, living alone. If so, what became of Peter and the children?
