George W. Allen, a Civil War veteran, died 11/20/1881 and is buried in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mount Freedom.

His service is listed as being with the US Sharpshooters, but I need proof of his service. Rank, company, and regiment number (1st or 2nd).

I thought perhaps his obit might mention his CW service.
