I am seeking information on the parentage of Joseph D Saunders (6/17/1790 - 5/10/1879). He married Hannah Batson (1801-1867), daughter of John Batson and Rachel Grandin. Both Joseph and Hannah are burried in Drakestown Methodist Church Cemetery next to their son Amos Grandin Saunders. Joseph and Hannah had at least 10 children:

2. Electa Saunders (1823-1874) m John C. Thompson (1815-?)
3. Emiline E. Saunders (1825-1884) m. Henry Van Dyke (1823-1895)
4. Rachel Hannah Saunders (1827-1896) m. Nathaniel S. Sargent (1830-1891)
5. Stephen Saunders (1830-1903) m. Sarah Ellen McWilliams (1839-1906)
6. Deborah Saunders (1833-1920) m. Peter Smith (1824-1899)
7. William Henry Saunders (1836-1913) m. Catherine Anna Mooney (1838-1917)
8. Jonathon E. Saunders (1838-1917) m. Elizabeth Kelly (1842-1902)
9. Sarah A. Saunders (1841-?) m. John I. Van Wagoner (1840-?)
10. Sally Saunders (1844-?)
