Obidiah Robbins of Early Salem Co, Cohansey, NJ
Posted by: BRIAN ROBBINS (ID *****7861) Date: October 15, 2005 at 16:32:20
  of 481

Looking for information on Obidiah Robbins, and his family. He lived in Cohansey in the late 1700's. Not sure if he went to western Pa as a member of a group affiliated with the baptist, or methodists of his day. There is a Obidiah who ends up in Brown Co, Ohio by 1830. This may have been his son. Not sure if Obidiah Sr. was married to a Susannah Hopkins, as per a deed dated 1783 in Mingo Creek, Rostraiver Twp, Westmoreland Co, Pa. Perhaps someone will know of early church records or accounts of early migrations westward from Salem Co, NJ right before or during the revolutionary war?
