Dr. William BANNARD Pastor of Presbyterian Church at Salem

I discovered a cabinet photo (photo applied to thick card stock) of a gentleman today in an antique store in Frederica, DE. On the back of the card it says Dr. Wm. (H or N middle initial) BANNARD. On the next line it states "Pastor 1869 1883".

I did a little research online and found this quote about the Presbyterian church at Salem, NJ which was founded about 1821. The text speaks highly of a Daniel Stratton, a native of Bridgeton, NJ who had pastored the church for many years. He was succeeded in the pastoral charge by a "Frederic W. Bauns, who continued to fill the duties of pastor for sixteen or seventeen months, having resigned the charge in 1868. HE WAS FOLLOWED BY THE PRESENT POPULAR PASTOR, WILLIAM BANNARD, who was installed by the congregation the same year."

If you know of family who would like to have this photo, please email me and I can give the particulars on the antique store where the photo can be purchased. I have no financial interest in the store or in sale of the photo. I'm simply trying to help see the photo into the hands of his family.
