Hello,
I am attempting to determine how my ancestor Robert Peterson came upon a certain piece of land in Salem County. A posting by Teri Tighe on this board gives a description of the property (1819, Robert Peterson deed to Clayton Locason.) This property was at the corner of Pedricktown Road and the Penns Neck Road.
Robert’s property is adjacent to John Jaquett, June? Jaquett, John Jurdens, Joseph Hampton, and Clayton Locason.
The dilemma I have is I don’t know who owned the property prior to Robert and Elizabeth Peterson. I’m hoping that maybe one of the above named individuals might list a neighbor that owned the property previous to the Petersons.
If anyone has deeds by these individuals (1819 and earlier) I would love to hear what neighbors are mentioned in them. Once again their names are John Jaquett, June? Jaquett, John Jurdens, Joseph Hampton, and Clayton Locason,
