Albert "Allie" Day --b. 4/6/1879 in SALEM CO, NJ --adopted aft. 1880

Albert Day was adopted by Samuel L. (or T.) & Lydia Day who lived their lives in Cape May CO, Cold Springs, NJ. Albert went by the name of either "Allie" or "Alfie". He was born April 06, 1879 in Salem CO, NJ. Allie later married Effie (last name unknown). They had at least 6 children: Carl, Lydia, George, Reba (m. Howard Shaw), Eva & Albert (m. Josephine Compotaro). I am looking for Albert's birth parents names. Any help would REALLY be appreciated since I don't know how to research information on adopted children. I did wonder, however, if Allie was adopted by relatives since there are Day's living in Salem CO as well.
