Found this on census records and also a family genealogy on ancestry.com. Martha's father seems to be ISRAEL LLOYD, also spelled LOYD in the 1850 Census. Israel's mother seems to be MARTHA LLOYD. Her age on the 1850 census is given as 39, most likely an error on the part of the enumerator, as it should be 49. There are 3 other Loyd children listed on the 1850 census, David E.L.Loyd, age 10, Margaret Loyd, age 6 & Eunice Allison Loyd, age 4. The 10 year old could be Martha Sr's child, the other two may be grandchildren of hers. Martha's, b. 1862, mother was given as CATHARINE FRIANT KING on the family genealogy. I'm assuming Friant was her maiden name rather then her middle name. The genealogy by the Catt family is unsourced. Looking at the 1860 Census, Catharine has two small children with her. It may be that she was widowed with two small children when she married Israel, making him her second husband. Her two small children were: John H. King, age 3 & Charles M. King, age 2. 1870 Census shows Israel, age 45 living with his mother, Martha LLoyd, age 70 and his 3 children, MARTHA, age 7, Samuel, age 5 & Eunice, age 2. He is most likely widowed. The area for all three of these census records was Penns Grove, Upper Penns Neck Township, Salem County, NJ.
