I am looking for information on Powell families in the area of Somerset County, NJ and surrounding area in 1735-1785. John Powell married Mary Younglove in about 1766. Mary was born in 1747 in the Raritan/Boundbrook area of Somerset County. I have information on Mary's family. I'm trying to find information on John Powell and his family. I don't know when John Powell was born. He died around 1779 in the Tryon/Albany County area of New York State. Any information on John Powell and the Powell families from the New Jersey area would be greatly appreciated.
