In or about 1828-1830, John VanCamp Custard (b. 1813)married his bride, Susan, possibly at the Walpack Dutch Reformed Church where he had been christened on 12-6-1824. His father was William Custard, Jr. (also christened at Walpack on 6-8-1777), and his mother was Elizabeth VanCampen (b. 1784), daughter of Jan VanCampen and Elizabeth Depuy. But who was the bride, Susan? A Dimmick? A Heller? A Decker? The first infant of the couple, named Ololus, died in his first year, and then the couple moved up to Canadensis, Pike Co., PA to raise their family in relative safety. Any helpers out there to identify the bride?
