Helping a friend who doesn't have a computer to find more information on her gt-grandfather, Joseph C Drake.
Per the 1850 Census he is found living in Green, Sussex Co., NJ. It estimates his date of birth to be 1812.
Married to a Mary Ann ___, her estimated birth date is 1820. Both Joseph & Mary Ann were born in NJ
Ch: Sarah Jane b 1841,in NJ. She married Jacob Newman.
Emma b 1844 in NJ
Martin R b 1844 d 1891, married to Mary B Rutan b 1847, d 1936.
Vancleve b 1846
Edgar P b 1848
Harriet E b 1853
William C b 1856
Jacob L b 1858 aka Elwood J
Florence C b 1862
Would like to know who Joseph's parents are & any other additional on them.
Grandparents are:
Martin R Drake b 1844, who was married to Mary B Rutan.
Her parents were Peter Coss Rutan b 1809 & Rebecca Jane Hough b 1808.
Martin's children: Josephine b 1873, mar. Alfred Holder
Albert P b 1875, mar. Hannah ?.
Jennie b 1876, mar. Horatio Hill
Clarence> no data
George Elmer b 1884 d 1950
Viola May b 1885, mar. James Sharp
Possible other children.
Per the 1880 Census Martin is now living in Andover, Sussex Co., NJ. Which shows him married & with his children.
Parents:
George E b 1884 d 1950 & Mary Elizabeth Flatt b 1895 d 1976.
If anyone is connected to any of these people & have any information on the above we would be so appreciative.
