Schaffer/Schaffner 1900s

I am trying to find information about Lewis and
Katherine Schaffner/Schaffer who were living in
Rahway, Union County NJ from 1900-1940s. On the
1930 census the street name appears to be "Lufberry"
or "Luffery" Street. House number was "41".
Living with them for AT LEAST 20 years was Joseph Tausch
from Germany. Joseph was actually born in Innsbruck
Austria but they moved to Bruneck, Austria when he
was young. I am actually researching Joseph's
brother, Theodore, who brought Joseph to America
in 1909 from Bruneck, Austria (now Brunico, Italy). I am
hoping the fact that Joseph lived with this couple
for so many years means they were relatives, since
Lewis and Katherine were also Germans and came to
America about 10 years before Joseph.
Lewis worked in a chemical plant and Joseph worked
in a railroad office as a clerk.
ANY HELP or leads appreciated.
