I am searching for info on Guy and Mabel SMITH who lived in Artesia, Eddy Co., for many years and had a dry cleaning business. Guy is my grandfather's brother. My grandfather was Frank Campbell SMITH b 31 Oct 1902 in Arlie, Childress Co., TX to William Edward SMITH and Mary Zula ANDERSON. According to Frank's birth certificate and an Avis Cemetery survey, William was born in 1874 in Arkansas. Zula was born in 1879 in Llano, Llano Co., TX. At some point after the birth of my grandfather, William and Zula migrated on to an area around Pinon, Otero Co., and had a goat ranch.
Getting back to Guy and Mabel SMITH, my father used to spend his summers as a young man working for Guy and Mabel in their dry cleaning business in Artesia. If anyone can shed some light on any of this, I would appreciate your response. Thanks!
