Looking for information on and descendants of John Blooming MORRIS (called "J.B."), b. 3 Feb 1878 Dublin, Erath Co., Texas, and wife Eula May HAMMONDS, b. 26 Feb. 1882, Corsicana, Navarro Co., Texas, d. 1930 in California. Eula is listed in 1900 census, Hardeman Co., Texas, as single woman living with her sister, Ida HAMMONDS. Eula and J.B. MORRIS appear in 1910 census, Chaves Co., New Mexico and 1920 census, Carlsbad, Eddy Co., New Mexico. J.B. Morris was in first tourist party to descend into Carlsbad Caverns, 1922. Some of the family moved to California late 1920s or 1930.

They had three children, Lucile (m. Robert PRITCHETT 1932 California), Ida Pearl (married Lloyd Clarence OWNBEY 1929 Eddy Co., New Mexico) and John Blooming MORRIS, Jr. (married Jane REEDER).

My grandfather, John Summers HAMMONDS was Eula May HAMMONDS' brother.
