Dan....My reason for thinking that Elsie and Saphronia may belong to the R(Robert) C Carlile family was just speculation based on the family listed in the 1860 and 1870 Panola Co TX census. In 1860 he is listed as Robt. T Carlile...Beat 6, Fair Play....there is a dau Angeline who is 3....In 1870 he is listed as R C Carlyle and a dau is listed as Sophronia-13 and a child listed as Elia? age 2....I had found these census at the Census online web site for Panola Co TX...I did not see this family in the 1880 census however....nor have I found Sophronia as a Mauritzen in 1880. Also there are several family trees for Robert C Carlile at Rootsweb.com you might want to check out. They do list a child named Elby Acenath Carlile born in 1868....we know that a E A Carlile married J B Mauritzen on 19 Jan 1886....I really think this is Elsie....In 1900 Panola Co census Elsie and James B have been married for 14 years and so far their children would be Addie, Kate and ? dau born in 1895....Robert G and Emma would be Sapronia's children......Rita
