Hello All:
My great-great-grandfather,Juan Chavez y Baca,was murdered on 2-July,1883 in Valencia County,New Mexico.
I just two days ago found this out.However,I didn't find any name of who murdered him nor why nor where exactly in Valencia County.
I am hoping that a Chavez researcher or a Valencia County researcher might be able to help me in finding out more details.
This is a great mystery and I am hoping someone out there might be able to help.

Juan Chavez y Baca was husband of Trinidad Otero.They were parents of Ana Maria Adelaida Chavez who married Antonio Aragon.
Antonio Aragon and Ana Maria Adelaida Chavez were parents of my maternal grandfather,Ovidio(Obidio)Toribio Aragon.
