LILLIE BELLE NOICE. I am working on the Genealogy of William Hall, Born Augusta Co. VA in 1842. A son, Engle, married a Lillie Bell Noice on March 9th, 1891 (FBible). Her family was probably at one time (?) from Walker, Wood County, WV. William Noice, his wife, Malissa A, and son's James W. and Dennis R. (Twins) are listed in the 1900 Census (Bellaire City, Belmont County, Ohio) William Noice's birth date was listed as "1841." Malissa's was also 1841. William's Civil War service was listed as: with the 12 WV Vol Infantry (McKinney WV Civil war Almanac, Wood County P.469). William Hall had served with the WV 15th Vols (Discharge/National Records/Almanac). Both from 1862 to 1865. Both Williams may have met in the CW, since the two units were often deployed together.

Lillie Belle Noice was the daughter of William and Malissa (Also Melissa) Noice, any information on William's parents, who were from WV (1900) or Malissa's who were from WV/VA?

It was said (Aunt) that the Noice family were railroaders, which would make both Bellaire and Moundsville appropriate.

Sorry, I am an Historian, but am just starting this. What a wonderful way to waste hours!
