Thanks so much for your response - we must be cousins somehow. I wondered about the Norsworthy/Hicks marriage, so appreciate the clarification. When did Comfort Hicks die? So, are you confirming that Frederick P Norsworthy that married Hicks and later Alford is the son of the George Norsworthy that I provided will information about in my posting? I have information from another Norsworthy kin (see original posting in this strand) that there is estate information about Frederick Norsworthy, Mary Alford, and their children in the Montgomery archives. Some more research shows that this record is in the Tallapoosa Co. archives in the 1843-1844 time frame, so that he would have died a bit earlier than 1850.

Additional research showed that there is also a George Norsworthy that was a Methodist preacher in the late 1700s in the same record book where later, Frederick P Norsworthy is identified in this way. Do you have any information about this connection for these individuals, and whether the information I provided in my second post (to which you replied) relates to our Frederick P Norsworthy, spouse of Hicks and later Alford?

Thanks much, Roberta
