Hey John!

Sorry I have not been on much here and have not been able to compile some stuff to send you yet.

Yes I am aware of the Millom connection and that Census. So the 50 thousand foot view is that My line of Norsworthy's goes like this and I'll send you more detailed info when I have time to get into all my digital files:

Samuel Norsworthy's father is William Norsworthy. Samuel was born in Gunnislake and one of 12 kids of William and Elizabeth Northmore of Whitchurch ... Selina Jane being one of the 12. William is listed as being born in Tavistock but it is more likely that he was born outside Tavistock in what is now part of Dartmoor Park at the Norsworthy Plantation farmhouse which is no longer standing. The Norsworthy Bridge was adjacent to the Plantation and there was a stamp mill that was part of the property that was run by the water in the Meavy River which ran alongside the farm and under the Norsworthy bridge. William's father was also a William and was also from Tavistock.

In the late 1800's there was a shift in the mining industry and Willaim and Elizabeth and a number of their kids relocated to Millom up in the Lake District in Cumberland County. Most of them are buried at St. Georges Church in Millom.

I have visited all the area in the South. in Devon and Cornwall and the Lake District Millom extensively and have toms of data and files on all that line of the family.

I will tell my sister about our connection and let her know you are there in Portland area. More to come. ;-)

Robert (Bob)
