Death notification
Russell Clark Nottingham, age 75, of South Amherst, Ohio, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain.
Born July 16, 1934, at Dunmore, he was a son of the late Raymond and Helen Grace Galford Nottingham.
Russell was employed with the Lorain Plant of Ford Motor Corportaion for 30 years, retiring in 1988 as a car transport loader. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in West Virginia, United Auto Workers Local #425, as well as a 32nd Degree Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Vermilion. Russell had served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sistes, Joyce Allen and Charlotte Deputy.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Frances Cogar Nottingham; a son, Stephen Nottingham, and wife, Gloria, of Lexington, South Carolina; a daughter, Maralea “Marty” Cole, and husband, Richard, of Elyria, Ohio; grandchildren, Rick Cole, and wife, Amy, Jr. and Rhonda Nottingham; a great-granddaughter, Adrianna Nottingham; a brother, Donald Nottingham, and wife, Patty, of Dunmore; and many nieces and nephews.
