Noyer in Brazil???

A few days ago I knew something surprising about my family: there where a French ancestor named Noyer that married a spanish woman (from Barcelona) reached Portugal and came to Brazil. In one of these steps they changed the surname to NOGUEIRA wich sounds better in my language. We are reaching documents about it in my original state (Ceara, I live in Rio de Janeiro Now).

I find this forum and maybe someone could help me. Should be possible Noyers in Brazil? Should I get more informations about it and about this family.
I'll be very glad if someone could help me.

Claudia Carvalho
