Nusbaumers in Wells Co.

I am the Ggrandson of George and have none some digging in that regard. He served in the Civil war as a volunteer with an Ohio regiment (mustered in Cleveland), and came to Wells county after the war where Joseph and John had immigrated (I have no info about the other 2 children). There appears to have been a religious split in the family with John's family turning to Catholicism and George's family remaining anabaptist in orientation. I can provide folks with a location and/or pictures of the original homestead (still in the Nusbaumer family) in Well's county along with gravesite (including that of Joseph and wife). I am quite isolated from any direct lineage at this time and would appreciate anyone who could help me answer questions regarding why they moved to Indiana and why George was reburied in a different site?
