Myrl Campbell Johnson, somewhere in NV 1942

I am seeking information on what happened to the family of Myrl Campbell Johnson ( 1906-1954). His name turned up on a list at http://dmla.clan.lib.nv.us/docs/nsla/archives/prison/nsp-j.htm

This lead me to consider Nevada, although most of my Lovell relatives "originated" in Michigan and England.

Myrl's wife was Velma Elizabeth Schuller Johnson. His childred were Donald Eugene Johnson ( April 1927-Aug. 25, 1942), Jamie Elizabeth ( April 10, 1928-August 25, 1942) Nancy Irene Johnson ( 1934-?) Lee Leonard Johnson ( Oct. 16, 1936- August 25, 1942). After reading these dates in my grandmother Lovell's notebook, I knew some sort of tragedy had befallen this distant cousin's family, but then I turned up his name on the inmate list on the website above. None of my surviving relatives have any idea...probably because no one wanted to talk about it. Of course, I am after the true stories from our family, no matter what skeletons I find.
I have e-mailed the archives, but gotten no response thus far. Any ideas or leads? Really curious about what had happened to these children, as well as the rest of the family.

Thanks for any help you can give.
