It is too bad both my folks have passed on. Las Vegas was a small town in the 40's. My folks moved there in 1939. My dad was the Under Sheriff and my mom taught school. What about property tax records? Next time you go go Las Vegas, go to a Library and see how far back they keep the telephone books. I remember we had a 3 way "party line" and there were the "real" operators that connected you to the party you were calling. I am sure you could also inquire with the churches. I know there was a Catholic Church on Maryland Parkway, an LDS church on 9th street, I know there was a Jewish Synagogue somewhere and there were probably Presbyterian, Lutheran churches. I wonder if the Clark County School District would keep old records. Maybe the Hollis family had other children. Maybe the 1940 Census for Clark County would have her name. I was delivered by Dr. Hardy. If I can think of anything else, I will let you know. Lynne Johnston
