The only George Williamson I find in Nevada in 1920 was the son of a Marion and Hazel Williamson, age 7 born in California ,with three siblings. He is still living with his parents in 1930 when aged 17. If your George was adopted out, I would have thought earlier than when he was seventeen, so this might not be your man.
