From the Reno paper. Reno Evening Gazette July 25, 1942 Worker Crushed Between Trucks William Morris Dies of Injuries. Crushed between two trucks while working at Honey Lake Valley Thursday, William McKinley Morris died last night at a local hospital. Details of the accident were not available here, but it was reported Morris was working on one truck when it rolled back, pinning him against another vehicle. He was rushed to Reno by amulance and an operation was performed in an unsuccessful attempt to save his life. Forty years old, Morris had been working at the Honey Lake project for the last several weeks. He as born in Oklahoma. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Zella M. Morris; five children, Rita May, Betty Joe, Goldie Fay, Walter Lee and William McKinley Morris, jr., all of Susanville; two brothers, Frank Morris of Oklahoma City and Charles Morris of McAllister, Okla., and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Ferguson of McAllister.
