FROM VIRGINIA CITY -- Samuel GEDDES, Esq., who left this city a short time ago for Virginia City, writing to his brother under date of the 15ths inst., says that the "ways for making money are so numerous that he hardly knows where to begin." He had seen many Stocktonians, among whom were Jack NEAL, BEAUMONT, C.C. PERRY, Eugene SIMONS, and others. John McCAUSLAND had fallen into a hole and hurt himself so badly that he was compelled to go limping, a cripple. Wm. PRAY had been sick for a long time. Mr. G. says that business is not quite so lively as when he was there some few weeks ago; yet the general tenor of his letter is of the most encouraging character.
