Reno Evening Gazelle Thursday, February 25, 1943 Mrs. Mary Arndell Dies in Reno Nevada Resident For Sixty Years Mrs. Mary Jane Arndell, a resident of Nevada for more than sixty years, died in Reno Yesterday. She was ninety-four years of age. Mrs. Arndell came from Wales with her husband and settled in Austin. Her husband engaged in mining and leasing in the Austin district. Following the death of Mr. Arndell about twenty years ago, she came to Reno and had made her home here with her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Fredericks. Survivors besides Mrs. Fredeicks include four other daughters, Mrs. S. E. Jones of Sacramento, Mrs. Mary Frary of Eureka, Utah, Mrs. Tillie Hess and Mrs. Ethel Durant of Austin. She is also survived by eight grand children, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced later by the O'Brien-Rogers Company Reno Evening Gazette Saturday, February 27, 1943 With many friends attending, the funeral of Mrs. Mary Jane Arndell was held this afternoon at the O'Brien-Robers chapel. the services were conducted by the Rev. B. J. White, while music included songs by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tamka and organ numbers by Irving Webb. There were many floral tributes banked around the casket. Pallbears, all close friends of the family in Reno and Austin, were Judge A. J. Maestretti, Charles L. Richards, Charles W. Pierce, George Dron, H. J. Anderson and C. Shumake.
