I am posting this query to several forums in an effort to determine the death date/place and place of burial for Edward/Ed/Edwin Moore Gardiner. Family stories say he did in the Dallas area, but to date I've not found anything on him so I am posting to areas where I know he worked.
Ed (b.6-16-1892 TX) was the son of Clifford A. Gardiner. Clifford operated a theater in the Dallas area in the early 1900s where Ed worked.
Ed married a young vaudeville performer (Ruby Darby) circa 1915. They subsequently divorced (or so the story goes) circa 1918. Over the years they kept in touch by letter even after they divorced. Ed had his own vaudeville troupe and traveled the US with it.
Ed eventually remarried (believe her name was Eva) and had at least one son. Supposedly Ed and Eva returned to TX after several years on the road in vaudeville where Ed was supposedly killed when a fireworks plant which his family owned burned.
Am enedeavoring to determine when/where Ed died and where he may be buried.
Any information appreciated.
