Jim and Polly Calvert

My maternal grandfather was James Edward Calvert. He married Pauline Curtis and he passed away in February 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am searching for any information about him. I am not sure if this family story is accurate, as it was told to me by my mother, Sally Calvert, (his daughter) and her information may be unreliable. But the story goes that he was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma and his mother was Cherokee Indian. Story goes that she had a love affair with a Calvert that was traveling from England. My grandfather was an exceptionally handsome man and looked very similar to a young Clark Gable. He and my grandmother "Polly" owned a restaurant on Corondado Island in California called "The Mexican Village" during the war years. Their latter years were spent as caretakers of Christ Church Episcopal in Las Vegas, Nevada. Please, if you have any information that could lead me to connecting with the Calvert branch of my family, I would be grateful. I am 52 yrs. old, a successful business owner who raised four children on my own. My mother is an alcoholic and we are permanently estranged for my own well being. I never met my biological father and I find myself craving a connection to family that I can come to know. Thank you----
