Padelfords in Nevada

I'm looking for information on a Padelford who lived in eastern Nevada in the 1860-70 period.

I know he built a toll road south of Palisade, Nevada (west of Elko on the Central Pacific Railroad) to a place called Mineral Hill. He sold the toll road and bought a ranch in the area. The ranch is owned today by some of my family and has a creek named for Padelford which runs into the Pine Creek which flows into the Humboldt River near the Palisade townsite.

My wife's maiden name is Padelford, and we find it amusing that is is possible that our fmailies lived in the same area way back then.
