My gr-grandfather was Thomas Scott and his wife was Lena Janiska. He was a cattle rancher in Disaster Peak, which lies on the Nevada-Oregon line in what was the Oregon Territory. A researcher said there is a Disaster Peak in Humboldt County, Nevada, even though my grandfather listed his birthplace as Disaster Peak, Malheur County, Oregon. I have tried to find info, but Disaster Peak is not a town name, but a mountain, so no one can tell me anything without a town name. They might have been married in 1890, one child was born in 1893, I think. My grandfather was not born until 1896. I realize this is very little information to go on, but if this is enough to look, I'd appreciate it very much. If not, thanks anyway.
