Hi Anne. I think I found the abstract of the marriage of Thomas Scott. There was a transcription error on his wife's name. This is what it said on the Western Marriages Index:
Thomas SCOTT to
Tena(Lena) JANICKA
date:9-6-1886
County of Record: Humboldt
Residence of both: Winnemucca
On ancestry.com an abstract in Territorial Enterprise:
Marriage of Thomas Scott to Lena JACKSON. 9-6-1886
Birth of a son to Thomas Scott. 11-1887
There was also a listing for the 1900 and 1910 census for Humboldt County for Thomas Scott. Since the 1890 census does'nt exist you would probably have to get the two later censuses. I could try to find those for you(an actual copy of the handwritten census)the next time I go to the Historical Society. Please email me with whatever information you have and then I can print it out and take it with me when I go.
