Looking for information on Charles Breen.. Looking at his Army records, he went to New York around 1933. I have an address, but coming from Ireland, the address doesnt make much sense. I am looking for his death.. Death date unknown.. Enlisted in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers 4th Bat in Oct 1909 aged 18. At Enniskillen Co Fermanagh. It gives his date of birth as 1891, but I couldnt find a record for this birth, But I did find one for 1893. His father John was also in the Inniskilling Fusiliers. A letter from The British Consulate in the USA, states the following. Charles Breen Character Certificate, Lost in Russia 1919. 4th Bat Inniskilling Fusiliers. Regimental Number 2430 Sgt Age 39: place of birth: Ireland: Present Address of Declarant: 169 W 78 ST NYC Signed in the presence of and declared before me this 18 day of August 1933, at New York USA. I am guessing that this was addressed to the British Army, For Charles to be aloud to stay in USA.. He worked in a shop called The Flower Shop. In the Bronx He was killed in a shooting. Only known date for death is oct 1935, Notify Administrator about this message?
