Johnson, 63, of 501 East Terrace Ave., Lakewood, died this morning (Feb. 7, 1972) at 8:10 a.m. in his home. Prior to moving to Lakewood in 1955, he made his home at 214 Falconer St., Jamestown. Mr. Johnson had been employed as a cabinet maker at the Taylor-Jamestown Corp., retiring in December. Born July 7, 1908, in Oland, Sweden, he was a son of John and Christina Hagstrom Peterson. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and the Ingjald Lodge, No. 65, IOV (International Order of Vikings). Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Schnars; a daughter, Mr. Steven Showers; a son, Jerome B. Johnson; three grandchildren, Brian E. Johnson, Douglas A. Johnson and Darla A. Showers, all of Lakewood; two brothers, Axel Johnson, Sweden, and Gunnard W. Johnson, Jamestown; and a sister, Mrs. Astrid Bloomberg, Sweden. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Alice E. Anderson, who died Aug. 1, 1963. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Powers Funeral Home. Brig. Lennart R. A. Carlson, of the Salvation Army Temple Corps, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the funeral home. Mrs. Alice E. Johnson Mrs. Alice E. Johnson, 45, of 501 E. Terrace Ave., Lakewood, wife of Eric Johnson, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 1, 1963) at her home. She was employed as a clerk at the Greenlight Grocery Store, Beechwood. Prior to moving to Lakewood nine years ago, she was employed as a clerk at the Falconer Street Creamery. Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 8, 1917, in Jamestown, the daughter of Albin and Nannie Greenlund Anderson. She had resided in the area most of her life. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Jerome Johnson, Lakewood; one daughter, Mrs. Steven Showers, Lakewood; a granddaughter, Darla Showers, Lakewood; her father, Albin Anderson, Lakewood; a brother, George Anderson, Buffalo; one sister, Mrs. Edward Veitz, Jamestown; two nephews; and five nieces. A brother, Chester Anderson, died last March 25. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Lyle Peterson, intern pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Gunnard W. Johnson Gunnard W. Johnson, 75, of Warren-Jamestown Blvd., Box 4, R.D. 6, Jamestown, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 27, 1980) in his home. He was born Sept. 19, 1905, in Sweden, the son of John R. and Christina Hagstrom Peterson. He was a retired cabinet maker having worked at Taylor-Jamestown. Johnson was a member of Ingjald Lodge No. 65 IOV. Surviving are his wife, the former Martha Johnson, whom he married Nov. 21, 1931, in Jamestown; a sister, Astrid Bloombert and a brother, Axel Johanson, both in Sweden; a niece, Janice Jackson, Celoron; and a nephew, Jerry B. Johnson, Lakewood. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eric G. Johnson, and a sister, Beda Reuter. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Powers Funeral Home. Brig. Lennart R. A. Carlson, retired officer on The Salvation Army, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
