Hi Bev, you asked me to tell you a little more about Joseph. Most of it you found for me, and can't ever thank you enough. Still having no luck find any record on him. Any thoughts? I have a Michel Baudin listed as a son of Toussaint Beaudin and Marie Louise Suzanne Gagne (Gagnier). Do you have this family in your files? I have this son Michel, married in November 24, 1794 to Josephte Denault dit Detailly. I am trying to find the complete list of the children of Michel and Josephte. Some, I have, and have followered them from Canada to Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York. In particular I am looking for a son Joseph (son of Michel and Denault) married to Esther Durete (Liret). I found Joseph and his family in Plattsburgh in 1850 and I think in 1840. On his death certificate it says he was in US for 45 years. So since he died in 1870 he must have come to US in 1825. The first child of Joseph and Esther that I have was born in 1835. It seems the family of Joseph was from St. Constant. I have searched hard for this Joseph, maybe he was going by a different first name? Just yesterday I added for a daughter, Marie Louise Beaudin, born September 11, 1795 in St. Constant. She was the daughter of Michel and Denault. I do believe this is their first born since they were married in 1794. She would be the oldert sister of my Joseph. I will try to get more on her. Other children born to Michel and Denault are Domithilde m. 1836 St. Remi(Antoine Germain), Sophie m. 1824 St. Constant (Francois LaMarque), Josette m. 1813 St. Constant (Vautrin), Jovite or Josefa m.St. Remi(Charles Metivier) Michel (died as infant), I think there were also sons Pierre and Toussaint. My Joseph and Esther lived close to the sisters mentioned above. Must be a baptismal record some place for him in Canada. I found marriage record for some of the girls in Canada which leads me to believe that the parents Michel and Denault were still in Canada in 1836 when Domithilde was married in St. Remi. So Joseph didn't come to US as early as suggested or he came alone or with other younger men, but not with his parents. I don't have the death records of Michel Beaudin or his wife Marie Josephte Denault.
