On the 2oth of October 1855, we buried in the cemetery of the parish, the corpse of Louis, died the day before, age 18 months, the legitimate son of Louis Asselin and Marieanne Baudin, witnesses were Toussaint Baudin and M....Ga-gnin. Is it possible the the last name is Gagne or Gagnier? I am trying to place Joseph in the right line, his daughter is Marieanne. When she was married Joseph and Esther were her witnesses. I was wondering if Toussaint was the father of Joseph and the grandfather of Marieanne? I found a Toussaint Baudin and Josephte Gagne married February 10, 1812 in St. Constant. His parents are Charles Beaudin and Felicite Robidoux married July 5, 1784 in St Francois Regis, St Philippe, Laprairie.
