My line starts with Joseph Baudin married to Marie-Esther Durete. They lived in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York from about 1825/35 until their deaths. Joseph died 1870 and Marie-Esther 1890. They attended St. Peter's Church as did their children and grandchildren. I am ready to claim a Joseph Baudin and Rose Beauvais (married 1803 St. Constant)the parents of my plattsburgh-Joseph. According to what I have found so far in the records their son Joseph was born in 1813, St. Constant Parish. On his baptismal record it says something, very hard to read, Iroquois/Metis. So far I have found one sibling for Joseph born 1813. The name is Theostiste and she married a Augustin Bourdeau. She was born 1810, died 1899. I not sure on this point but I think they lived in Michigan. Would be happy to share all I have on this line with others. Joseph, husband of Rose, was the son of Toussaint and Suzanne Gagne. I think the John Baudin listed in the 1830 census of Plattsburgh is the brother of the Joseph married to Rose. There is also a Michel Boda in 1830 Plattsburgh but don't know how he ties in yet. Found the records on the Drouin Collection, U.S.census records, records from ST. Peter's and most of all from all the kind people on this and the Clinton site.
