I am working on a Pierre Bitourne/Turner line.
Peter Turner is listed as father on the death certificate of Celeste/Sallie Thompson, mother listed is Mary Seymour. Peter died before 1880, don't know when wife Mary died.
1870 census of Plattsburgh Peter Turner (age 80) is living in the household of Sallie and Ed Thompson.
1860 census of Plattsburgh Peter Turner(age 68)and Catherine Turner (age 70).
1850 census of Plattsburgh Peter Turner and Catherine and Lena (age 17).
1850 census of Plattsburgh Sally Turner living with the
David A A (transcriber couldn't read original)I think name is Abair/Labare and this family is probably related to Sally.
Also found nearby a number of Seymour families. Mary Seymour was the mother of Celeste/Sally and Lena. A Joseph Semore age 88 (born 1762)living in the Abare household. Sally was listed with a family with that name in 1850 cesus. Maybe Jseph Semore is the father of Mary Seymour? Not sure this is correct but did see that some dit names for Seymour are Ste. Amour-Payett and Simard.
Joseph Seymore age 45 (born 1805)listed in the 1850 census of Plattsburgh was born in Canada and came to Plattsburgh about 1835. He and his wife Louisa Bordeau (born 1813) are in the 1850 census of Brown Co., DePere, Wisconsin.
At St. John's in Plattsburgh, Lena Turner married
Patrick Caffrey/Gaffrey/Gaffney in 1851 and the witnesses are Pierre and Celeste Turner.
1840 census of Plattsburgh Peter Tourney 40/50, female 40/50 and two females born 1825/35.
On same page there are James Thompson (Sally married his son-Edward Thompson), Francis LaBare (could this be same family Sally was listed living with in 1850)and Joseph Bodea/Baudin. Eliza Thompson {daughter of Sally and Edward Thompson] married the son {John Baudin} of this Joseph.
Who is the Catherine Turner listed with Peter Turner in 1860/1870 census records. Second wife or sister? I do believe this Peter is the father of Sally/Celest and Lene.
1857 census of St Peter's a Paul Turner(65)born 1789 married to Catherine Ducharme (68) born 1786 living in Port Jackson. Marie Bethournay (72)born 1785 married to Toussaint Laplant. Both Paul and Marie are children of Paul Betourne and Madeleine Vautour. Is Pierre Turner also a son of Paul and Madeleine?
I have to find a marriage record of Pierre Betourne married to Mary Seymour and also his baptismal record.
