Here is the reply from my friend who did the cemetery transcription:

"I checked my gravestone inscriptions and I didn't find him. He could be buried without a stone, or the stone might of been down when the inscriptions were done.
I called the cemetery office and they didn't have any record also. I believe there might be some books missing when there was a fire.
I looked up his death notice and it says he died in PA, formerly of Hudson. There wasn't an obituary.
I also checked Bates and Anderson's Funeral records."

I did check the online cemetery index for the Columbia Co. Historical Society. There are three John Harveys listed. You can contact them and they can do a lookup for you.
