Does anyone know where I could locate transcriptions of all of the church/baptism records for any churches located in or close by Hancock, Delaware Co., NY for the time period from about 1770's through mid 1800's? I've reached a deadend so far trying to find the parents of my ggg grandfather John Lewis born in late 1700's in Hancock, NY. He died between 1831 and 1840. His wife was Sarah (Sally) and his children were Sophronia, Sherman S., Lyman L., Henry and Johnathan Lewis. I'm hoping church baptism records will somehow give me more clues to help determine John Lewis' parents. Would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks. BJ Shawd bjsenterprises@cfl.rr.com
