I found this in the 6/27/1922 edition of the " Oneonta Daily Star "
DAVENPORT CENTER NOTES
Mr. & Mrs Chauncey Simmons and daughter Edna , of Sidney, Leon Simmons of Kingston, and Mr. & Mrs. Virgil Gray of Windsor were callers at G. E. Simmons Sunday .
Leon was my Grandfather .(Chauncey's son)
Mrs. Virgil Gray was Ruth Simmons(Chauncey's Dau.)

SIMMONS FAMILY REUNION
One Hundred Descendants of B. A. Simmons meet in Neahwa Park for Twentieth Annual Get-together .
The twentieth Annual Reunion of the B. A. Simmons family was held at Neahwa Park in the city on Saturday and proved a most enjoyable occasion for the nearly one hundred descendants who had assembled . Fine weather helped to make the event a conspicuous success.
At 12:30 a bounteous dinner was served which all attacked with gusto and keen relish . Following the repast there was a program of songs and recitations by the Misses Gladys and Marion Wright, Edna Simmons and Anna Sperbeck, and a business session at which the following officers were elected; President Sherman Simmons of Cooperstown Junction, vice-president, James K. Simmons of West Oneonta; secretary treasurer, Mrs Sherman Simmons, A vote of thanks was extended to the city of Oneonta for it's hospitality and it was voted to meet here again in 1923.
Relatives were present from Oneonta, Prattsville, West Oneonta, Utica, Richmondville, Cooperstown, West Davenport, Davenport Center, Clayville, Binghamton, Hobart, Sidney, and Cooperstown Junction . The committee in charge of the reunion was composed of Mr. and Mrs. George Simmons, Mrs Edward Mickel, Mrs Sarah Wright, Mrs. Leroy Hoose, Mrs. Chauncey Simmons, Mrs. C. E. Dibble, Mrs. Susie Turk, Mrs. Greta Stronigan Cheney Simmons, Mrs. Adelbert Simmons, and Mrs. John McGuiness.
I've been trying to connect Chauncey's father Nelson Simmons to Baltus Simmons . I think this helps prove they are related , but exactly how ?
