Luther ORR was one of the sons of Hugh ORR, one of the 'town fathers' when the Town of Davenport, Delaware Co., NY was formed in 1817 from parts of the Towns of Kortright and Maryland [Otsego Co.].

Luther was apparently m. twice:

m1--Elizabeth HOUGHTALING [1788-1837/1844], a dau. of John HOUGHTALING [1763- ] and Polly [MNU]

m2--Mary HOUGHTALING [HOTALING] [1792-1870], a dau. Peter HOUGHTALING [1768- ] and Nancy CRANDALL

Seeking data about the children of both marriages.
