Check the NNYLN site to search for newspaper articles on your family. You can search just for the surname Guynup or search for "given name surname" but use quote marks around the name. I got over 50 hits for Guynup in the Franklin Co. papers.

If you order death records for the Guynups they may tell you parents names. The town clerk should have the records:
