Hi .. you probably already have this info .. but just in case :

Franklin Gazette; Malone, Friday, June 4, 1880
(under Obits )

Lowell- In Constable, on Thursday, May 27th, Oliver Lowell, aged 83 years.

--------

1870 Census shows an Oliver Lowell, aged 70 - with wife Sophia in Constable. Both list Canada as their birthplace, along with thier respective parents as being of ''foreign birth''. Oliver also shows as a 'citizen of the US' - so he may have filed for naturalization papers at some point.

The 'other' Oliver is in Westville with his wife Elizabeth. They show as 49 and 45, respectively. This Oliver shows his parents as being of 'foreign birth' .

------

1860 has Oliver and Sophia (65 and 68 yrs) in Constable. The 'other' Oliver and Elizabeth are in Dickinson.

--------

1850 Oliver and 'Soffera' - 49 and 46 yrs in Constable.

---------

I didn't see him in 1840 - in either Constable or Dickinson.

----------

Hope this helps
