I am trying to find any information about Michael Moore (my great x3 grandfather) and his family. The information that I have had is that he was born in Malone, New York in 1830, that his parents were Richard Moore (b. 1804 Ireland) and Marguerite Sullivan. Recently we found a possibility that Michael Moore may have the first name of George, and that he may have been born in Norton Creek, Quebec and come to Malone with his parents around 1831. We believe that Marguerite died about 1835 and that Richard remarried a Bridget Monaghan. Michael left New York at some point after the 1840 census and went to PA and then ended up in MI. We have his information from 1860 on filled in, but have this large hole around his birth and early years. I am very grateful for any help. Thank you.
