Harry Waite and his wife Laura M. appear in Johnstown in 1910, 1920, and 1930 census years, and in the Johnstown City Directories for 1941 and 1943. Harry Waite was "born March 26, 1882" according to WWI draft registration signed 1918 at Johnstown. Harry Waite married ca 1903 ("married 7 years" in 1910) Laura M. Rupert (1885-1966), daughter of Adam E. Rupert and his wife Lydia "Liddie". Harry Waite and Laura had at least, at Johnstown: (1) Harry Waite Jr (1911-1915), (2) Ronald Edward Waite (26 Jan, 1908-June 1987, Mesa AZ) who married at Johnstown 19 Sep, 1925 Velma Anna Antalek, she born 13 Sep, 1909 NY, she remarried Mr. Clemente, and died as Velma Clemente at Gloversville 20 Apr, 1997), and (3)Harlow E. Waite (26 Jan 1910-Aug 1984, Los Angeles CA). Of course, the name Harry can be short for either Henry or Harold, and since he named his third child Harlow, the name "Harry" could also be short for Harlow. Does this ring any bells, please?
