According to Fred Bowman's transcription of the 1855 Greene County, NY census, Miles Johnson (66) and wife, Anna (61), were living in Hunter, NY. His sister-in-law, Mary Smalling (68), lived with them. All three were natives of CT. It is not stated if Mary was single or widowed, so I don't know if Smalling was her married or maiden name.

Son Chauncey Johnson was born 1834 in Halcott, Greene County, NY and married Mary A. Mallory. He died 14 Feb 1904 in Windham, Greene County, NY and was buried in the Windham Cemetery. He resided in Jewett, NY in 1860 and 1870, in Hunter in 1880, and in Windham in 1900.
