I found a marriage for August Kjelberg to Bertha A. Lutzen on 17 Apr 1902 in Richmond County, NY, certificate #115. Maybe Bertha was previously married to a Randolph or married a Randolph after August's death. Their marriage certificate should answer some of your questions.
